If you suffer from irritated, inflamed gums, I feel your pain. I’ve been there and it sucks. Thankfully there are many natural ways that you can alleviate the pain and heal your gums. One of them is this Soothe & Restore Oral Spray by Dr. Brite. Keep reading to see my thoughts and get more info about the product!
Before we begin, you should know that Dr. Brite did send this spray to me for free in exchange for an honest review. I am also an affiliate for Dr. Brite, you can read more about what that means here. But these are my honest thoughts and opinions about the product and I truly love Dr. Brite products and the values of their company.
Made with natural, soothing ingredients
Let’s begin with the ingredients! Almost all of them are organic or non-GMO, so awesome! It’s also vegan, gluten-free, and cruelty-free. And it’s created by a dentist! Here’s what this spray is made of:
Aqua (Purified Water), Organic Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Organic Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Organic Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Organic Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Flower Oil, Organic Cinnamomum Zeylanicum (Cinnamon) Leaf Oil, Organic Commiphora Myrrha (Myrrh) Oil, Organic Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Oil, Organic Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Oil, Organic Mentha Arvensis (Menthol) Crystals, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Activated Charcoal (Coconut Derived), Xylitol, Organic Stevia Rebaudiana (Stevia) Leaf Extract
These ingredients are really beneficial in many ways and help support your body’s natural healing process:
- Tea tree oil kills harmful bacteria
- Aloe vera juice helps alleviate gum pain
- Coconut oil comforts mouth irritations
- Peppermint freshens breath
- Vitamin E is an antioxidant and promotes gum health
- Activated charcoal removes toxins and speeds healing
To use this, just spray along your gum line twice daily.
My overall thoughts
I really enjoyed the taste of this spray: it’s minty and fresh but not too strong or overpowering. And it leaves a fresh taste in your mouth for a while after use. The only downside is that I sometimes found it hard to spray my gums accurately without accidentally getting some mist around my mouth. (or maybe I just have bad aim?)
Since I’ve been oil pulling for about two years, my gums have tremendously healed. However, I try to be very proactive about my gum health to avoid slipping back into gum disease and have been using this spray daily after brushing and flossing. So overall, I definitely recommend this if you have irritated gums, gum disease, canker sores, bad breath, etc. or just want to maintain healthy oral hygiene.
