Green Beauty Starter Pack

Do you want to switch to safer, natural cosmetics and personal care items, but don’t know where to start? The organic beauty industry is booming, which is awesome, but it can be TOTALLY confusing to figure out which brands and items to actually start with. In this post, I’ll share with you some of my favorites to help you get going with the basics. These are some of my everyday essentials that you can start incorporating into your routine to clean it up.

I selected products that aren’t outrageously expensive and I consider good “staples” to start with! By the way, you definitely don’t need to ditch everything and buy all new products at once. Take it slow and replace items as they run out! Read my Beginner’s Guide to Green Beauty on a Budget for some helpful tips on how to make the transition without breaking the bank 💰

P.S. If you’re looking to swap out all of your products but need some more guidance, I offer 1:1 Custom Clean Beauty Consults. We can work together to find the perfect products for your budget, skin type, and preferences!

Blush: Han Pressed Blush Powder [$18]

Not only are these budget-friendly, but they work so well! It’s soooo pigmented and has great payoff; you barely need to tap with a brush to get a lot of color. The blush itself has a soft finish to it and is somewhat blurring. I like the “Coral Candy” shade which is a coral peach pink with a slight gold shimmer.

I appreciate that the packaging is all paper and curbside recyclable!

Cleanser: One Love Organics Botanical B Oil Cleanser [$42]

Pack your bags because this cleanser will instantly transport you to a beachy paradise! This is also my go-to cleanser when I want to remove heavy-duty makeup with ease because nothing stands a chance against this one. It’s a clear oil but the pineapple aroma is to DIE for 🍍

If you’re new to oil cleansing, don’t worry! This is unique and rinses clean with water, no wiping needed.

One Love Organics Botanical B Enzyme Cleansing Oil

This guy also contains papaya and papain fruit enzymes to soften and gently exfoliate skin. It is a thicker and heavier oil but does not leave that feeling behind. You will love it!

Deodorant: Meow Meow Tweet [$14]

Meow Meow Tweet Deodorant

This is a cult classic natural deodorant! It comes in both a glass jar or a push-up paperboard tube. It’s creamy, yet not oily, and glides on easily. It comes in a few different scents and also a formula made without baking soda which is perfect for those who have a sensitivity to it. The grapefruit smell is wonderful! I found that this one does a great job of keeping me dry and smelling good throughout the day. Love the sustainable packaging, too.

Mascara: Honest Beauty Extreme Length Mascara + Primer [$20]

Not only is this one of the best natural mascaras out there, but it’s also the most affordable! It’s awesome because it has a primer on one end which makes a big difference with the application. I can achieve a bold and voluminous look with this and it doesn’t smudge or flake! It has a stubby silicone brush and works so well for me. Highly recommend.

Shampoo & Conditioner: Plaine Products (Refillable!) [$30]

Eco-friendly packaging meets natural ingredients! This shampoo has been a fave of mine for years. Once it’s empty, you get a refill and send your bottle back (which they pay for). Reusable for the win. It lathers well (which is not always the case for a natural shampoo), smells pleasant, and gets my thick hair squeaky clean.

Choose from two scents or even an unscented option! And Plaine makes a conditioner that pairs with the shampoo. Coupon code ORGANICALLYBECCA gets you a discount!

Saie Slip Tint SPF35 MoisturizerAn all-in-one moisturizer, sunscreen, and light/sheer coverage foundation. I’ve gone through SO many tubes of this stuff. It’s incredibly silky and blends into skin really well. It doesn’t feel like makeup or sunscreen at all, yet it makes your skin look slightly more enhanced (yet still natural!). Trust me, it’s good!

Rise Well Toothpaste

This toothpaste is safe enough to eat! It’s wild mint-flavored and contains no fluoride or sulfates. Plus it’s naturally whitening! It makes my teeth feel nice and clean.
