Happy new year! Aaaaaaaand we’re back for Volume 14 of the Well Rounded series. Each quarter I like to give you guys updates on new products I’ve been testing and grabbing over and over again. Whether it’s sustainable fashion, wellness-related, clean beauty, or natural skincare. I aim to include a fun variety for the season, so let’s take a look at what’s been #OrganicallyBeccaApproved lately! ☃️

1) Axiology Skin Loving Mushroom Fungdation 🍄
Are you kidding me with this adorable name!?! This is a new foundation stick with light to medium coverage and a satin finish. It has snow mushroom (hydrating and holds up to 500 times its weight in water) and reishi (enhances moisture retention) in it, hence the name!
To be candid, I was surprised when I got this in the mail because it looks pretty tiny; I thought I accidentally ordered a sample size! 🫢 However, looks can be deceiving, and it’s 11.3 g, which is actually MORE product you get than most foundation sticks. It’s a little different than your traditional stick, and most others have twist-up packaging and various plastic parts—but Axiology foregoes all the excess pieces, which makes it appear smaller (and the fact that it’s wider). It’s just a push-up tube made from 100% recyclable and biodegradable FSC-certified paper.
I like that it looks natural on my skin and has a touch of luminosity; some foundation sticks can look flat, but this has some dimension to it and doesn’t feel drying or look cakey. I wear shade 3.

2) Filterbaby Faucet Water Filter 🚰
This little gadget attaches to your bathroom faucet to remove 99.9% of chlorine, chloramine, certain hard metals, and hundreds of contaminants in tap water. It can help keep your skin clear and hydrated (particularly great for dry winter skin)!
I already filter my drinking water, but am happy to have something for removing impurities when I wash my face and brush my teeth. You can also switch between filtered or regular tap water with the Filterbaby, which I thought was a nice feature.

3) FitGlow Ceramide Hydra-Balms 👄
I’m a huge fan of FitGlow’s lip color serums, so I was eager to try these new balms! They’re a hybrid lip serum and oil with plumping peptides, hydrating ceramides, and glutathione. The cooling metal applicator feels SO GOOD on irritated, parched lips. They have a luminous, non-sticky finish and yummy vanilla smell.
They’re available as a clear balm or tinted; I love the Rosewood color which is a beautiful rose beige nude. So long, chapped lips!

4) Just Ingredients Superfood Hot Chocolate ☕️
Who doesn’t like a warm and cozy drink when it’s cold outside?! Most hot chocolate mixes have LOADS of sugar, but this has 0g, yet still has the perfect amount of sweetness to it. Plus, it’s packed with organic coconut milk, collagen, cinnamon, and adaptogens to help your body adapt to stress (ashwagandha and lion’s mane).
I also appreciate that it’s third-party tested for contaminants like heavy metals. Seriously so delicious!

5) Movemate Active Standing Board 🦶
I can’t get outside for as many walks this time of year, but at least I can use this to stay active indoors! If you have a standing desk or are on your feet for most of the day, listen up. This is an ergonomic board that keeps you moving while standing, helping to improve posture, reduce fatigue, and strengthen muscles. It’s super fun and intuitive to use; you can do all sorts of micro-movements like rock back and forth, side to side, swivel, or a wave motion with your toes.
I like that it’s made from sustainable materials like renewable birchwood and a low VOC water-based coating. I suggest starting with 10-15 minute sessions and working your way up!
6) Paleovalley Superfood Protein Bars 🍫
It’s really hard to find clean protein bars that don’t have tons of sugar or weird fillers, but these are awesome! They’re made with 8+ organic, nutrient-dense superfoods (like pumpkin seeds, kale, turmeric, and blueberries) plus 10g of grass-fed bone broth protein. Each flavor has 4g of sugar or less, and they’re a good source of fiber.
You won’t find GMOs, gluten, grains, soy, sugar alcohols, or dairy in ‘em either. But most importantly—they taste good! My favorite flavor is Apple Cinnamon. So convenient for on-the-go or when you need a quick snack.

7) Sahajan Essential Cleansing Oil 🧴
I received this in the Detox Market’s Best of Green Beauty 2024 box and have been hooked ever since! It’s an Ayurvedic oil cleanser that removes makeup and rinses clean with water (without stripping skin). However, it feels a lot creamier than most oil cleansers and has a kind of milky consistency!
What really gets me is the scent—it smells like something that would be used on you at a professional facial and has a light, rosy, and earthy aroma! So delightful.

8) Xero Alpine Barefoot Snow Boots 🥾
Wisconsin winters can sure be rough. My mom got me a pair of these as an early Christmas gift; she even bought a pair for herself and loves them! They have a warm insulated fleece lining and waterproof membrane. I really like that they have grips on the bottom for traction, but don’t feel too clunky or cumbersome like most boots.
Xero is one of my fave barefoot shoe brands, and these follow the standard principles of a wide toe box, lightweight, and a zero drop sole that allows for total foot freedom. I’d say they’re true to size! Styles for men are available too.

I was wondering how the Sahajan Essential Cleansing Oil compares to the
One love botanical enzyme cleanser??
I’ve tried the Sahajan one from the detox markets December box and I enjoyed it. However I was wondering if the One Love Enzyme Cleanser is better than that one.

Hi Eve,
Yep they are slightly different. One Love Organics is thicker, more oily, more powerful against stubborn makeup, and has some enzymes so you get a very mild exfoliation. It smells tropical and is a long-time fave of mine. The Sahajan cleanser has a milkier consistency and is a bit more gentle.
