The Well Rounded: Becca’s Quarterly Top Picks [Volume 9 • Fall 2023]

So long summer and hellooooooo autumn! We’re back for Volume 9️⃣ of the Well Rounded series. Each quarter I like to give you guys updates on new products I’ve been testing and grabbing repeatedly. Whether it’s sustainable fashion, wellness-related, clean beauty, or natural skincare. I aim to include a fun variety for the season, so let’s look at what’s been #OrganicallyBeccaApproved lately! 🍁

This post contains affiliate links. Some of these products were gifted to me for PR consideration with no obligation to share. Trust me, I only share the good stuff with ya!

Btw, if you missed the last Volume 8 from summer, you can check it out here!

1) Alpyn Wild Huckleberry Radiance Recovery Peel

If you’ve tried Alpyn’s original 8-acid peel but it was too strong for you, listen up! This is a new sensitive skin version and it has single exfoliation instead of double. This one feels so gentle and doesn’t cause any tingling or redness (the original one was a bit too potent for me personally). In fact, it has chamomile to reduce redness and colloidal oatmeal to soothe.

Just put a thin layer on your skin for 5 minutes then rinse it off. It doesn’t get crackly or itchy as it dries, either. I love that it gives a mild exfoliation but also targets irritation at the same time. It’s so great!

2) Elate Pressed EyeColours

If you missed my recent deep dive into eyeshadow palettes, check it out here! I’ve been using Elate’s pressed eyeshadow powders nonstop lately; they have clean ingredients (no talc) and sustainable packaging!

You can build your own and purchase individual pans that fit magnetically within a refillable bamboo compact. I also appreciate that these are really helpful for absorbing oil because they’re formulated with bamboo stem extract and calcium carbonate. So if you have hooded, oily eyelids like me, you might want to try these because they’re quite creaseproof and still look solid after hours of wear!

Elate Pressed EyeColours

I love the shades Sweet (warm pink), Ethereal (shimmery light gold), Modish (plum lustre), and Soar (matte vanilla). They give the prettiest glow that looks natural yet still beautiful and fun.

3) Free + True Bright Side Vitamin C Serum

As much as I love the summer sun, it always leaves me with some pigmentation at the end of the season. So fall is a nice time to use a Vitamin C serum to brighten and fade any remaining dark spots! Free + True’s Bright Side serum has been a favorite of mine for years, but they recently reformulated and made it even BETTER! ✨ I bought a bottle ASAP when it was released!

Free + True Bright Side Vitamin C Serum

What’s new in this 2.0 formula? It has two stable forms of Vitamin C (tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate and 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid), more antioxidants, a creamier consistency, added glow-boosting peptides, and it’s suitable for all skin types, even sensitive.

It’s truly such a special formula; it’s a gorgeous yellow/orange color and the smell is divine (like orange, jasmine, and a hint of floral). It’s sunshine in a bottle, basically.

4) Knitido+ Toe Socks

It’s cozy season! 🧦 You may know that I’m a big fan of barefoot shoes, but I also enjoy wearing toe socks to keep my toes separated and not squished together. I’ve been on the hunt for a brand with better materials and came across Knitido+!

They’ve been around since 1974 and make ankle, midcalf, and hi-rise leg warmer socks. The socks use blends including organic cotton or wool, and select styles are botanically dyed with plants and flowers, too!

They even have styles with grips on the bottom which I like to wear for barre workouts. But for now, you can catch me lounging in these comfy wool midcalf socks!

5) Leafshave Calming Serum

My readers frequently ask me for a product to use after shaving and this is it! I use Leaf’s reusable razor, so I was excited when they came out with this new serum! You can use it on your face (after dermaplaning too), armpits, or body. I’ve mostly been using it for the bikini area and my husband has been using it as an aftershave 🪒

The blend is perfect for preventing post-shave irritation or for calming razor burn. It contains grapeseed and borage seed oils (anti-inflammatory), jojoba and meadowfoam (to rebalance and nourish), aloe vera (soothing), and blackcurrant and tea tree (antibacterial).

It has a refreshing eucalyptus and tea tree scent. Plus, you can get a refill bottle and reuse the dropper each time!

6) Nusa Holistick Teratai Perfume

You guys know I despise synthetic fragrances, but I’m a sucker for a good natural perfume! Nusa Holistick has two perfumes, but I cannot get enough of the Teratai scent. It has notes of lotus, grapefruit, honeysuckle, and green tea. It’s pretty and delicate and not too overpowering!

This brand uses 100% natural ingredients such as pure essential oils and absolutes. No phthalates, parabens, perfume oils, or synthetics! 👏

7) RMS SuperNatural SPF30 Radiance Serum

Summer may be over but that doesn’t mean the glow has to stop! RMS came out with a new mineral sunscreen and it is lovely! It comes in three tints and I wear the lightest one, Light Aura.

It has sheer coverage but evens out skin tone and has a soft focus finish. I love how smoothly it applies and gives you a beautiful glow-up without looking like you have much makeup on. It also makes a nice base for foundation or concealer!

RMS Radiance Serum SPF Light Aura

I’m not usually one to gravitate towards dewy or shiny products, but this looks healthy and luminous without looking or feeling greasy. Thumbs up!

8) Saie Glossybounce™ Lip Oils

New drop from Saie! Admittedly I thought, oh this is going to be a basic lip gloss. It’s SO much more and honestly, the more I use these, the more I become addicted to them.

These are a thicker, cushiony lip oil but aren’t sticky. They apply super glossy and shiny which fades after a while, but the smooth moisture remains on your lips. They have a light, natural wash of color (some are more pigmented than others!) and you can build ’em up for more pigment.

Saie Glossybounce Lip Oil Swatches

I literally cannot stop rubbing my lips together when I wear them because it just feels so dang good! Wanna see these in action? Check out my Instagram reel here!

The lip oils are available in six colors (one is clear) and my favorite shade is Dip which is a dusty rose hue. I also think Push (a soft brown) is perfect for fall.
