Winter is Coming: 12 Best Organic Health + Beauty Products of the Season

Organically Becca Winter Faves

Okay so winter isn’t coming, it’s already here, but just let me enjoy that Game of Thrones reference okay 😂 Depending on where you live, you might be in the depths of cold weather right now. And that usually means dry, dull skin that needs a little help! Here are some of the natural products I’ve been loving so far this season.

1. Kiss Me Honey Organic Lip Balm

Dry, chapped lips are the absolute worst. And unfortunately, most conventional chapsticks are a temporary solution and don’t have many ingredients that help heal or relieve. Kiss Me Honey lip balms are some of my faves, with nourishing and natural ingredients like organic beeswax, organic coconut oil, organic unrefined shea butter, Vitamin E, grapefruit seed extract, and organic sweet almond oil. Your lips will love it!

2. LXMI Pure Nilotica Melt

This is the best, I repeat, the best facial moisturizer for intensely dry skin! It’s made with just one ingredient: 100% organic vitellaria nilotica fruit butter. Nilotica is a skin superfood that comes from cold-pressed nuts harvested from 20-year old trees near the Nile River. This melt provides intense hydration, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, evens out skin tone, and is non-comedogenic. I like to use it as an overnight mask (just make sure to protect your pillow!). My skin is so hydrated and plump the next morning!

3. Good Medicine Beauty Lab Hand + Body Oil

The woes of winter: you take a piping hot shower because you’re cold, but then your skin gets super dry and itchy from the hot water. Ugh! That’s why I’ve been slathering this Good Medicine Beauty Lab body oil alllllll over after showering. I’m absolutely obsessed with the smell of this one too: blue cypress + lemongrass + tobacco 😍 Not only does it smell wonderful, it’s a powerful tonic to relieve muscle pain and detox the body. The ingredients help detox your skin, diminish aches and pains, remove excess waste, relieve inflammation, and soothe joints. It’s oil-based, not water-based like most lotions, so it will help seal in moisturize even better.

4. Vapour Organics Siren Lipstick

I tend to wear darker lip colors in the winter, what about you? This Vapour Siren lipstick is perfect for winter. I have shade Tryst which is a beautiful dark red. It’s long-wearing and moisturizing (the first ingredient is castor oil so you know it’s going to hydrate!). And it’s actually designed to complement all skin tones. Loveeeeee!

5. INIKA Organic Liquid Foundation with Hyaluronic Acid

This foundation is more like a hybrid between skincare and makeup because the ingredients are so skin-loving and beneficial. It has hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, aloe, avocado oil, jojoba, rosehip oil, and many more! It’s lightweight, buildable, medium coverage, and notice my skin still looks great hours later. Organic, vegan, and cruelty-free. I use shade Cream which complements my skin tone perfectly.

6. Elate Cosmetics Gold Liquid Eyeliner

Why wear black eyeliner when you can wear GOLD!? 🏆 I absolutely love this liquid liner – it’s so festive and fun for the holidays and new year. It’s bright and shimmery and really livens up your look. Plus it’s water-resistant and natural.

7. Tammy Fender Epi-Peel Face Mask + Exfoliate

We all know our skin needs a little extra TLC during the winter months. I’ve been loving this Tammy Fender Epi-Peel face mask and exfoliate. It’s made with kaolin clay, watercress, pure Moroccan rosemary, Far West Native spearmint, Panax ginseng, grapeseed oil, and shea butter. This mask removes the accumulation of dead surface cells, refines the pores, and eliminates impurities, as it brightens and polishes the skin!

8. PMD Personal Microderm

Have you ever heard of a microdermabrasion? It’s a skin treatment where your dead skin cells are basically vacuumed off with a small device. It’s very non-invasive treatment with lots of benefits: increases blood flow, removes dead skin cells and the dull skin barrier, stimulates collagen production, brightens skin, evens its tone and texture, and reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, blemishes, and enlarged pores. I got this PMD as a Christmas present and I’m hooked. My skin feels so unbelievably smooth and soft after, and makeup applies so much better. Sooooo worth it and especially great if you have dry skin.

9. 100% Pure Pro-Vitamin B5 Smoothing Hair Serum

Suffering from dry, static hair? Yeah, it’s not fun. This hair serum will totally help. It’s a multitasking, lightweight, buildable formula that leaves hair feeling softer, smoother, and more manageable, without feeling greasy or heavy. The vitamin B5 helps to add shine and reduce split ends, while Vitamin E helps to seal in moisture. Adios, static 💁‍♀️

10. Four Sigmatic Organic Mushroom Hot Cacao Mix

Who doesn’t love a warm cup of hot cocoa? Before you write this off because the thought of mushrooms in your cocoa sounds weird, listen up! You can’t even taste them and they have great health benefits! This contains reishi mushroom which is nature’s ultimate anti-stress tonic. It also helps balance hormones and helps you sleep.

11. Country Life Vitamin D3 Supplement

Since I barely see much of the sun throughout winter, I try to take a high-quality vitamin D supplement to stay healthy! It’s especially important for fighting colds and immune support, as well as helping your body absorb calcium. I use the brand Country Life which I usually buy through Thrive Market, but you can also get them on Amazon.

12. Gaia Herbs Black Elderberry Syrup

Cold and flu season is upon us! Black elderberries are known for their amazing immune system support and have been used as medicine dating back to ancient Egypt. According to Dr. Josh Axe, black elderberry is one of the most antiviral herbs on the planet and packed with antioxidants. And “health benefits of the elder plant include naturally improving colds, the flu, sinus issues, nerve pain, inflammation, chronic fatigue, allergies, constipation, and even cancer.” And it actually tastes amazing – to me it tastes just like berry jam except runnier. This Gaia Herbs formula also contains acerola cherry fruit which is rich in Vitamin C. You don’t have to be sick to take it either, it’s great as a preventive measure!
