My Fave Alpyn Products & How to Use in a Routine
Alright, now let me share my go-to products from the entire line and how I use them in my regimen. Depending on your skin type and unique concerns, Alpyn has plenty of options that will work for you!
Pore Perfecting Liquid Exfoliator
When to Use: After cleansing (PM)
I feel like just calling this one a “toner” isn’t doing it justice, because it’s sooooo much more than that! It’s a leave-on liquid exfoliator (you need to apply it with a cotton round!) that also tones and clarifies. It has a light scent.
The exfoliator is made with borage (soothes), tremella mushroom (hydrates and maintains pH), salicylic acid (BHA to exfoliate and sweep away debris), Vitamin C (brightens and protects), vegetable collagen, and niacinamide.
It’s powerful but mild enough for daily use; I use it as needed which tends to be ~3x a week (I recommend using it at nighttime because you shouldn’t exfoliate then go out in the sun). I totally notice a more even complexion and soft, smooth skin! It’s especially helpful for pores and buildup on my nose. I would suggest this one if you have dullness, congestion, clogged pores, or are prone to blemishes!
Vitamin C & Bearberry Instant Glow Serum
When to Use: After cleansing, before moisturizing (AM/PM)
I first used this one years ago but it still makes its way back into my routine because it’s just SO good. It’s a multitasking serum that also doubles as an illuminating primer because it has responsibly sourced mica in it for a little shimmer. It has a light, fresh scent and a silky texture that sinks into skin immediately (no pilling!).
The serum is packed with Vitamin C, bearberry, hyaluronic acid, squalane, and bakuchiol. The primary purpose of the formula is to brighten and address signs of aging; I do feel like this serum makes my skin look vibrant, toned, and plump. My pores seem less obvious too! ✨
Of all the “retinol dupes” I’ve tried, I have personally seen the best results from this one! Highly recommend.
Barrier Repair Cream
When to Use: After using a toner or serum (AM/PM)
Okay, this is my absolute favorite Alpyn product! It does not disappoint. It’s a rich restorative cream that supports the skin barrier and is made with ceramides, ghostberry (known as “nature’s Neosporin” and has calming properties), Tasmanian pepper (targets redness), and peptides. Love!
My skin has become more sensitive over the years, so I like how gentle this cream is; it’s unscented and doesn’t use any essential oils which can be irritating for some! It has also been awarded the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance™.
The cream has a natural, semi-matte finish so you get adequate moisture but it won’t feel heavy or greasy at all. It really does feel soothing and calms my skin. If you’re looking to target fine lines, wrinkles, redness, or have sensitive skin, then you might enjoy this too!
Willow & Sweet Agave Lip Plumping Mask
When to Use: As an overnight lip mask or whenever your lips need TLC
This bad boy is a lip treatment that you can just apply like a lip balm or leave on overnight as a mask. It has a slightly waxy consistency so you might need to warm it up for a second between your fingertips before applying on lips. But the finish is not really sticky or anything. The smell isn’t strong but it has a minor castor oil scent with some hints of berry!
It’s made with sweet blue agave leaf and hyaluronic acid (for hydration), white willow bark (to exfoliate), and wild chokeberry (for antioxidant protection).
I don’t notice any intense plumping with this one, maybe a faint tingle. BUT it definitely makes my lips feel SO smooth, soft, and supple. Like, when I wear it I can’t stop rubbing my lips together because they feel so good! It’s great for when my lips are chapped or rough. I also find that it sits nicely underneath lipstick and makes for a better application.
